Pediatric Dental Services

Preventative Dentistry

Dr. Joe's goal for preventative dentistry is to stop dental problems before they happen. The best way to avoid cavities, gum disease, and worn enamel is for them to never happen in the first place.

Here's how we set your child up for success at Forsyth Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics:

    • Cleanings & exams: During your child's visit, we inspect the health of their teeth. We'll focus on their hygiene and address issues that brushing and flossing alone can't handle.
    • Fluoride treatment: Fluoride makes your child's enamel stronger and more resilient. Stronger teeth are less like to suffer from decay.
    • Sealants: Sealants are thin, protective coatings that Dr. Joe places over the surfaces of teeth. They help guard your child's teeth against cavities, bacteria, and infections.
    • Mouthguards: Make sure your child always use a mouthguard when they play sports. It shields their teeth from injuries and trauma.

Early Assessment

Giving your child a head start on their oral hygiene helps Dr. Joe detect any potential issues early and determine if and when to start treatment.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Dr. Joe recommend that children be seen by six months after their first tooth erupts or at one year of age, whichever comes first.

Restorative Dentistry

What do we do if your child's teeth break, fall out, or go missing? We repair or replace them so your child can keep on smiling.

Dr. Joe might use dental interventions like:

    • Fillings: Fillings close the gaps in your child's teeth so their smile stays healthy.
    • Crowns: A crown covers a tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Our team uses white crowns, stainless steel crowns, and pediatric crowns.
