Born in Takoma Park, Maryland, Dr. Karl grew up in a family of Estonian heritage who immigrated to North America after World War II. His late wife, Claire, was a pediatric ICU nurse and a vital part of his practice for many years. Together, they raised two daughters, Anna and Kristiina (Tiina), who now live in Colorado Springs and Graham, North Carolina.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Karl enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, and spending quality time with his family.
